Gena Thomas served as a missionary for 4+ years in northern Mexico alongside her husband, Andrew Thomas. In 2010, the two started a coffee shop ministry, El Búho, to reach international rock climbers and local Mexicans. Not long after they returned to the U.S. at the end of 2013, Gena finished her masters in International Development from Eastern University. In 2016, Gena published A Smoldering Wick: Igniting Missions Work with Sustainable Practices. Gena currently works as a contract writer and cohosts a Twitter chat on missions called #JustMissions.
