The Advent season is one of the most important times of the year. Each year, we are invited into a spirituality of waiting. We join the Church around the world in joyous anticipation of the arrival of Christ in our world. Advent instructs us to celebrate how God came into the world in Christ as well as the ways God comes in those places where we long for his presence and need his intervention. Ultimately, we long for Christ to come fully and finally to make all things new.

In the meantime, we wait. And prayer is one of the primary ways we wait for God. This 25-day Advent daily office devotional is meant to help us remain rooted in God in a high-paced world.

Each “office” contains times of silence, scripture, a short devotional and a question for reflection.

The daily office is meant to help us cultivate a rhythm of prayer throughout the day. May we wait patiently for the coming of God into our world.
