Today, over 92% of churches in America are divided across racial lines. Churches in America are one of the least integrated institutions in America and this fact is a poor reflection of a reconciling Gospel. Many demographers are predicting that within 30 years, the white population in America will no longer be the majority racial category. These demographical statistics are very important for the future of the Gospel in North America.
In this workshop, we will discuss some of the reasons why this is our situation and provide some practical directions in how the Church can overcome the 3 main obstacles to diversity for the sake of a fuller and more faithful participation in God’s mission.
