What’s Happening In The Weeks Ahead

Here’s a few things either I’m at or friends of mine are at that I highly recommend.

  • September 24th 9-3 p.m. I’ll be in Carlisle PA to meet with Brethren in Christ folk, Ecclesia Network peeps, and anyone else who is interested in talking about Where is the church (in relation to the Kingdom)? and the practices Christ has given us to lead people into it. This is really a talk that extends the work in the book Prodigal Christianity. Find out more here .
  • September 25th. 7:00-830 PM The one and only Mark Van Steenwyk be at Highland Ave Church of the Brethren Elgin IL  discussing his book The UnKingdom of God. I believe the political ideas around Christian Anarchism should be examined by every thinking Christian who wants to lead a congregation.
  • September 27th I’ll be at Act Like Men? Conference to talk about men and woman and the nonhierarchical basis of all relationships in the Kingdom under one Lord and King demanded by the Bible
  • October 25th – and don’t forget The Missional Learning Commons at The Commons Westmont just 4 miles from Northern Seminary. We’re talking “Engaging the Neighbourhood” and there will be twice as much time devoted to discussion, hard questions and mutual sharing than there is devoted to the presentations themselves. Check it out and register for it Here. (It’s 10 dollars)
