The needs facing the Church in our day are vast and complex. Engaging them faithfully requires the (re)development of missionary thinking, instincts, and skill-sets. Few seminaries are as committed to equipping Christian leaders from this perspective as one of our Cornerstone Partners, Northern Seminary. This is true with respect to the excellent programs they offer, but also with regard to various events and initiatives they sponsor for church leaders in general, such as the one described below. For those in the Chicagoland area, we hope you’ll consider joining in on Northern’s upcoming Theology & Mission Lectureship, featuring our friend Michael Frost, this coming June.
“Tools of Engagement: Church, Incarnation, and Exile”
Join with Michael Frost as he casts a vision for the church as an Exile people practicing Incarnation. Being away from our home as Exiles tells us where we are. And practicing Incarnation tells us who we are. The intersection of Exile and Incarnation reveals how to be the church amid the cultural challenges and opportunities before us.
