Missio Alliance is pleased to announce a partnership with the podcast Managing Leadership Anxiety: Yours and Theirs featuring Steve Cuss.

Pastors, church and denominational leaders, not to mention business owners, nonprofit leaders, and parents regularly encounter internal and group anxiety that blocks effective, healthy leadership. As the church in the West navigates the shifting landscape of post-Christendom, congregations, denominations, and church-related organizations face new and increasing sources of anxiety.

Missio Alliance strives to provide resources for engaging in the complexities of joining God’s mission. We believe that this new podcast will provide tangible benefits for all types of leaders, no matter what their missional calling may be.

About the Podcast

Just entering its third season, Managing Leadership Anxiety: Yours and Theirs is a podcast that aims to provide leaders with tools that name and de-escalate leadership anxiety.

The podcast features guests who share about leadership experiences, such as what makes them anxious and how they notice anxiety in groups. Along the way, it explores tools that help you name and move through sources of anxiety in yourself and others.

Occasionally, episodes will feature Steve Cuss and producer Brendan Reed digging into specific sources of anxiety in individuals and groups and providing tools to move through anxiety. They also explore how delving into concepts such as differentiation, genograms, and internal family systems can help with managing anxiety.

About Steve Cuss

Steve cut his teeth on leadership anxiety serving as a trauma hospital chaplain. In that baptism of fire, he learned how to pay attention to what was going on under the surface of his own life and also among the dynamics between family members. Throughout his hundreds of hours of clinical pastoral education as well as through his M.Div. studies at Emmanuel Christian Seminary, he has deeply immersed himself into the intersection between the Bible and family systems theory.
